Crusader Commitment Expectations (West Carleton Warriors)

PrintCrusader Commitment Expectations

Equipment Protocol

  • Game jerseys are mot permitted for use during practice time
  • Proper Crusaders socks should be worn at all games and should be a matching pair and coordinated with the game being played (away or home socks)
  • Helmets - Must be prominently black or dark blue
  • Gloves - Must be predominantly black or dark blue
  • Pant shells should be worn at all games
The rationale for the equipment protocol is that hockey is a team sport. It is important that all players reflect the team atmosphere when representing West Carleton Crusaders.

Commitment to Dress Code

  • Players who represent Crusaders must attend games in proper attire as determined at the first team meeting after the teams are formed.
  • This may include a shirt/tie, dress pants and a team jacket, or a full track suit. Jeans are not deemed appropriate attire for games.
  • Team officials who represent Crusaders must attend games in proper attire. This may include a shirt/tie, dress pants and a team jacket.

Time Commitment

  • Rep B hockey requires more commitment than house league as you can expect to be doing hockey related activities 3-5 days per week.
  • Commitment to attend the majority of activities is implied and expected once the player is selected to play on the team.
  • Practices, team building events, games and tournaments are not considered optional. It is expected that players and parents make a conscious effort to commit to these events.
