Pathways and conditioning U9 through U15
The WCMHA follows the Hockey Canada player pathway policy for U9 through U15 age groups. Following labour day, registered players U9 through U15 players will participate in the pathways sessions.
These sessions are for conditioning in a friendly environment before formal evaluations and are not mandatory. They are meant to provide the players the chance to skate, participate in some drills and some small area games.
Your player will be placed with other players of all different skills, it’s important that you respect the time your player is scheduled to attend. The grouping and dates will be communicated to you prior To the start of the sessions to the contact info provided during registration.
Following the Hockey Canada pathways (1) , players are offered the following conditioning sessions to prepare for the upcoming season;
U9
● One skills session, one small area game session and two game sessions
U10 and U11
● One skills session, one small area game session and two game sessions
U12 through U15
● Two skills sessions and two games sessions
These sessions are for fun and conditioning and will not be evaluated.
